Welcome to the 2022 SEJ Conference
|
Under the theme “This I Know,” the 2022 Southeastern Jurisdictional Conference began November 1 with a session offered by the Committee on Episcopacy for delegates to get better acquainted with persons who have been nominated for the episcopacy.

African American/Black Church G.R.O.W. Event
|
The WNCC African American/Black Church Growth and Vitality will hold its 1st Annual African American/Black Church G.R.O.W. event.
The event will be held on November 12, 2022 from 10am - 3pm at Rocky Mount UMC in Mooresville.
This event will highlight the Ministry Action Plan that focuses on strengthening the Black churches in the WNCC through leadership development, revitalization, new places for new people and Christian/spiritual formation. Complimentary lunch will be provided. Closing worship service will follow.

2022 Advent Devotional Video Series
|
Spend Advent 2022 in the scriptures! Each Monday through Thursday (November 28 – December 22), a meditative video message will be delivered straight to your email. Clergy and laity from across the Metro District will share a devotional message using scripture passages from the lectionary. Use these videos in your personal, family, or small group devotional time.

App Wesley is encouraging folks to share a devotional that can be printed and shared daily via email beginning Sunday, November 27th through Christmas Day. We would love for your contribution around the theme "Home For Christmas". Simply use the link provided to upload your devotion through the App Wesley portal. Devotions are due Friday, November 18th, in order for the booklets to be printed and emails to be scheduled.

Lydia's Place Celebrates With a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Lydia's Place, a new plant in Asheboro, celebrated in October 2022 with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. This community will serve women, children, and families experiencing homelessness in central North Carolina by providing a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for temporary housing – often the first step in establishing sustainable independence.
