The Conference Office is collecting information for the 2022 Journal and requests churches share about church and parsonage renovations, new buildings, dedications, etc. that took place over the past conference year. To make this quick and easy, we have created an online form to share these changes. Please submit the online form by August 25.

Professional Development Opportunity for Staff in Church Business Administration
|
The Academy of Church Business Administration (ACBA) will return to Nashville, TN at the end of August 2022. This multi-day, in-person training event covers a variety of topics such as marketing your church, effective use of social media, Human Resources best practices, successful capital campaigns, and best practices in accounting and finance. WNC Treasurer Dr. Mark King will lead three days of the sessions on Stewardship, Facilities Management, Accounting Practices and Strategic Planning.

Thank you for supporting Stuart Auditorium Renovations and the Both/And grant funding that will be distributed among small, rural, and churches of color in the Western NC Conference that are ready and willing to explore how digital resources can impact their worship, discipleship, hospitality, and leadership.
We are pleased to announce that the following was collected for these ministries at AC2022:

Apply Now for Renfro Trust Fund Grants!
|
The Renfro Trust Fund awards annual bricks-and-mortar grants to small rural United Methodist congregations in the Southeastern Jurisdiction. The deadline for submission is September 1, 2020. Completed applications should be returned to Brian Mateer in the office of Missional Engagement by August 25, 2022.

Assemble Menstrual Hygiene Kits with UMCOR

The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) and Church World Service (CWS) launched a new joint menstrual hygiene kit initiative to provide essential health and dignity products to vulnerable communities across the U.S. The kits will be purchased and assembled by volunteers and supporters, and you can engage by helping assemble!

Improve your financial security and provide your very best ministry to the congregations you serve through the Clergy Debt Reduction Loan Program.
Many of your peers in our Conference are saving an average of $350 per month by refinancing through the program at a low of rate of 1.5 percent. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, Aug. 31.

The Faith and Health Summit is at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Greensboro on September 15 anytime throughout the day or all day from 8:30am to 3pm.
