Join a Peer Learning Session: Learning from One Another During a Time of Physical Distancing
April 14, 2020
By: Steve James - PIP Ministries
The whole world is figuring out how to respond to this unprecedented season of physical distancing. While the length, breadth and depth of the requested social actions remain uncertain, already our church is having to make profound adaptations to the ways we worship, study, care for one another, support the vulnerable, connect, collaborate and bear witness to love, grace, faith, hope and joy.
We’re all benefiting from social sharing. We also believe that words create worlds (Genesis 1 and John 1), so through the generosity of the Duke Endowment with the support of Connectional Ministries in the NCCUMC, we’re offering to clergy across North Carolina several upcoming sessions of peer learning. Our pilot sessions have been well received by the participants.
These are peer conversations guided by our coaches, Steve James, Peg Aldridge and Trish Archer, to capture insights, ideas, experiments and successes in being the church in its best incarnation through this emerging moment.
If you’d like to be a part of one of these conversations, you can select one of the 8 available slots in each session through the links below (copy and paste urls are below). If you want to participate and the slots are all filled or these times won’t work for you, please contact Steve James to be placed on a priority list when we offer future sessions.
