Adventures In Ministry
February 5, 2020
AIM (Adventures in Ministry) is a school year-long mentor guided vocational discernment journey for rising high school freshman through seniors.
AIM starts with an event kickoff this fall, where Guides and Explorers are equipped with everything they need to discuss and explore potential ministerial paths for the young leader. Since the ministry of Christ’s church holds a variety of diverse possibilities, teams work together to determine the Explorer’s best options to respond to God’s calling. At a Checkpoint along the way, teams will decide if the Explorer would like to gain experience in ministry through a paid internship. To pursue this option, a contract is drafted and the Guide continues to mentor the Explorer through a 10 week internship. At the end of this adventure, Mentors and Guides will have a clearer understanding of how God is calling young leaders to be in the world. There will be a celebration event in spring 2021 for teams to share their experiences and gain recognition for completing the journey.
