Workshop for Local Pastors and Members of Other Denominations
(The Lord) said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power[a] is made perfect in weakness.” So, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. March 21 at First UMC in Morganton (deadline to register is Friday, Feb. 28)
April 25 at Milford Hills UMC in Salisbury (deadline to register is Friday, April 3)
The same workshop will be offered on two different days in two different parts of the conference. You will choose one to attend.
Registration is at 9:30 a.m. Workshop from 10:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
Spouses are invited.
The cost is $10 per person.
Please bring a hymnal to the workshop.
Required for everyone in the LP/O Mentoring Program.
F. Belton Joyner Jr., the workshop speaker and author of the book being used in the mentoring program, is a retired United Methodist pastor and author of The Unofficial UM Handbooks and Being United Methodist in the Bible Belt: A Theological Survival Guide for Youth, Parents, and Other Confused Methodists and many other books. Currently, he is a visiting lecturer at Duke Divinity School where he teaches in the Course of Study. Rev. Joyner is also a former member and secretary of Judicial Council of The United Methodist Church.
