Mount Pleasant Church, a United Methodist Congregation, seeks a talented and enthusiastic pianist to accompany the Chancel Choir and play with the Worship Band. The Mount Pleasant Music Ministry is a collaborative environment where your talent and contributions have value.
Play with great musicians.
Add your personal touch to worship songs with musicians who will give you space to be your best.
The job is roughly 8-10 hours per week. Those hours include roughly 2.5 hours on Wednesday night and another 2.5 hours on Sunday morning. The rest can be done at your home practicing in your spare time.
You have the freedom to choose appropriate preludes, postludes, and offertory music that fits within the Christian seasons / liturgical year.
The perfect candidate is able to read music well and play proficiently, communicate well with the worship leader, accompany soloists, and be a contributor with all the church music groups.
