Minister of Discipleship

First United Methodist Church in Newton, NC is searching for a half-time Minister of Discipleship. This staff person works in partnership with the pastor, other staff and laity of the congregation to oversee our youth and children’s ministry, including faith formation, relationship building and missional engagement in our community. There is opportunity to work in other areas of ministry (Discipleship, worship, music etc) as personal gifts allow.  First UMC Newton is a thriving congregation committed to loving all persons into a relationship with Jesus Christ by becoming one diverse community, practicing unprecedented acts of hospitality, and worshipping Jesus passionately.
