Children and Youth Ministries Director

The position focuses on the planning, coordination, and implementation of the children's and youth ministries at Long Memorial United Methodist Church.  We are a church that celebrates its past and is committed to the future in Roxboro, NC, just 40 minutes north of Durham. We have a vibrant children's and youth ministry with a tradition of excellence, currently serving approximately 30 children and 30 youth, and looking to grow! The ministries for PreK-12th grade include responsibilities such as overseeing nursery care, Sunday School, the Children's Sermon, Children's Church, Youth Group, Acolytes, Vacation Bible School, Bible Class, Confirmation Class, and special seasonal activities.

Candidates should have excellent communication skills, familiarity with Methodist theology and practice, strong organizational skills, and confidence interacting with diverse people.  This is a full time position!  More information can be found at www.longmemorialumc.org/job-opening/
