Worship Leader

 

Hills Chapel United Methodist Church located in Lowesville, NC just northwest of Charlotte is seeking a worship leader. We currently offer blended worship, with a mix of standard hymns, southern gospel favorites, and new worship music.

 

The Worship Leader will have a strong Christian faith, a love of worship, a teachable spirit, and be a team player. 

 

The Worship Leader will:

  • Display a Christ-centered heart of worship on Sunday mornings from the front during Sunday morning worship (currently 10am)

  • Be present at praise band rehearsals (typically Wednesday nights) and coach the praise band

  • Lead praise band on Sunday mornings

  • Assist in worship planning

  • Assist in the planning and implementation of outreach opportunities that involve the praise band (Nights of Worship, outreach events in the community, etc…)

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge in audio/visual systems and experience with ProPresenter.

 

We expect this position to require approximately 8 hours of work a week. Salary commensurate with experience. Please submit resumes and/or videos leading worship to: ahutchison@wnccumc.net.
