Church Musician

Main St. UMC in Albemarle, NC, is currently looking to fill the position of church musician. Our worship service is traditional and we are looking for either an organist or pianist to lead this important ministry. Familiarity with traditional hymns is expected. The musician’s primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to – 1) Selecting music for Sunday worship services and other special celebrations throughout the year, 2) Accompany choir rehearsal, vocalist, and instrumentalists as scheduled by the music director (currently on hold but will resume in 2022), 3) Provide music for weddings and funerals held at the church, 4) Submit information for the weekly bulletin in a timely fashion, and 5) Work with the pastor and music director to plan worship that glorifies God and enhances the worship life of the church.
