Part Time Pianist

Seeking a part-time skilled musician in piano to play Christian music, hymns, and anthems for our 9AM Sunday worship service and occasional special church services. The pianist will work closely with the pastor and worship director to coordinate the musical portion of the traditional worship service.

Candidates with an advanced playing level in piano and reading sheet music is preferred, but is not required, if you’re the right person for the job. The pianist should be capable of selecting and providing a wide variety of appropriate Christian-themed solo preludes, offertories and postludes and should be familiar with The United Methodist Hymnal, The Faith We Sing, and other congregational musical supplements. The pianist must work well in support of vocal and instrumental soloists and choirs - both as ensembles and sectionals created from the larger ensemble.

Pianist would be needed for 1.5 hours for a weeknight practice and around 2 hours on Sunday morning. Pianist would be expected to practice as needed. 

All experienced candidates will be considered. 

Must be familiar with Christian music and its integration into the overall worship experience.

Salary is based on experience.
