Ardmore United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking an exceptional candidate for the role of Administrative Assistant to work effectively as part of a team.
This position is part of an integrated approach to lifelong Christian discipleship and community evangelism, and it will partner closely with other ministry areas of the church. It involves hospitality, communications, and administrative support to the pastors and program staff. This position combines teamwork, direct leadership, and administration with “equipping the saints” for their own ministries, both within the church and community.
The ideal candidate has excellent administrative, organizational, technology, and people skills, in addition to the ability to maintain confidentiality. Attention to detail and self-direction is essential. Familiarity with Realm ACS, Google Business, Zoom, Facebook, Constant Contact, and other digital/social media platforms is helpful. A willingness to learn is a necessity. Minimum qualifications include some college education beyond high school, three to five years of office experience that includes demonstrated utilization of technology, efficient and accurate project management, and effective communication.
This is a full-time, 32-hour per week position that includes pension and health insurance contributions. The position may be on-site or a combination of on-site and remote work depending on current Covid protocols. Compensation is based on the candidate's skills and experience.
