PART-TIME CHURCH SECRETARY
Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church of Concord, NC
 
Purpose:  Facilitate and organize the administrative daily activities of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, to enable its ministries and work in the community to make greater impacts. The Secretary is under the supervision of the Pastor within the authority of the Staff Parish Relations Committee.
High Level Description of Job Tasks

  • Create/edit/process church office correspondence with parishioners, church committees, conference leadership/administration, and the community.
  • Assist in preparation of weekly worship materials.
  • Maintain church attendance and membership records.
  • Track and maintain church calendar of events and facility usage.
  • Track and maintain inventory of fundraising cards.
  • Track and maintain inventory of building keys.
  • Prepare information for church accountant and Finance Committee.
  • Assist on Hot Dog Fridays with phone/fax orders and display materials.
  • Distribute Food Pantry bags to identified individuals.
  • Other quarterly and yearly tasks.
Hours:  20 per week, 8am to 12pm, Monday thru Friday
SalaryHourly rate, commensurate with experience
Pay Period: Bi-monthly
