Worship Accompanist/Youth Pastor - Midway UMC, Kannapolis

Midway UMC in Kannapolis is church that exists to create spaces for people to meet and follow Jesus.  We are seeking a committed Jesus-follower to serve as a worship accompanist on our staff team. If gifts and interests align, opportunity exists to lead our growing youth ministry as well.  An exceptional candidate will have gifts/abilities to:

  • Play  piano or keyboard for band and choir rehearsals 

  • Play all service music as needed for worship (choir anthems, band chord charts, hymns)

  • Prepare visual worship elements for projection

  • Lead youth discipleship gatherings (weekly meetings during the school year and a summer mission event).  To be expanded as ministry grows.

Part-time (10-20 hours/week).  Salary commensurate with experience and gifts.  Salary adjusted based on accompanist only or accompanist/youth pastor combination.   Position to begin Feb. 1, 2020.
