Facilities Manager

St. John’s United Methodist Church is seeking to employ a full-time facilities manager who will be accountable for the management of St. John’s United Methodist Church properties to include buildings located at 321 S. Oakland Avenue Rock Hill, SC as well as the church parsonage. This role will ensure that all physical assets are properly maintained so that the property and facilities can be utilized for ministry and mission to their greatest potential. This role requires an individual with organizational, technical and relational skills to be able to work in close coordination with the church pastors, staff, trustees, volunteers and vendors. 

Typical work schedule is Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., with seasonal and event-based variations. Salary is $50,000. Benefits are provided.

Duties include:

  • Coordination and oversight of the cleaning of the properties

  • Coordination and oversight of the repairs and maintenance of the properties

  • Coordination and oversight of event set-up to include special events

  • Accountable for vendor management of existing and new vendor contracts

  • Attendance at occasional evening meetings

 

Qualifications include:

  • Post high school degree, AS or BS

  • Basic computer skills and knowledge, e.g. Word, Outlook

  • Valid South Carolina driver’s license

  • Demonstrated supervisory skills

  • Ability to climb tall ladders and work in high places

  • Demonstrated project management skills

  • Ability to pass a background and drug screen

  • Must be discreet, friendly, outgoing, and customer service oriented
