Catawba Valley Lay Servant Ministries Training

2017 Lay Servant Ministry Training Sundays, February 5, 12, 19, and 26 3:00 – 5:30 pm First UMC (Morganton) 200 N. King Street Morganton, NC 28655 Attendance will be required all four days in order to complete the 10 hours needed for certification. Snacks will be provided. Courses offered:

Advanced Courses (for those who have previously completed the basic class – choose one)

• Discover your Spiritual Gifts Text: Network Participant’s Guide by Bruce Bugbee and Don Cousins Instructor: TBD Life Together in the United Methodist Connection Text: The Method of Our Mission by Laceye Warner Instructors: Dick Strachan and Jesse Caldwell

All textbooks will be provided for you prior to the class with assignments from your instructors. Please read the registration form and the Lay Servant Ministry at a Glance handout before completing the Registration Form. Complete the form carefully and mail it along with your check or money order for $25 to the address on the form. Space is limited, so please rank the advanced classes in the order of your preference.
