To provide strategic leadership and direction around communications. He/she will continue to develop & execute an overarching communication strategy that aligns with the mission, vision, and strategic priorities of Long’s Chapel UMC (LCUMC). The Director of Communications will serve as liaison for senior leadership, ministry leaders, laity, and vendors to carry out communications projects and initiatives that support the communication strategy of Long's Chapel. He/she will contribute to all communications projects with the objective of maintaining effectiveness and excellence in all LCUMC communications.

Qualifications:

• Personal relationship with Jesus Christ
• Servant’s heart
• Teachable and open attitude
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in communications or a related field of study (required and/or equivalent work experience)
• Strong knowledge of graphic design principles and techniques
• Knowledgeable in web content management
• Knowledgeable in print buying, terms, and techniques
• Knowledgeable in advertising and media buying
• Excellent writing and proofreading skills
• Photography skills
• Understanding of project management principles and best practices
• Must be organized and able to handle multiple tasks without sacrificing quality or accuracy
• Self-motivated, yet able to effectively team with others
• Knowledgeable in programs such as Adobe, Microsoft, Word Press, Facebook, etc…

• Communications: 1 year (Preferred)
• Marketing: 1 year (Preferred)
