Aldersgate Camp and Retreat Center in North Scituate, RI, is searching for a skilled Executive Director to shepherd our summer camp and retreat ministry into the future.
The successful applicant will be able to:
- successfully manage a complex camp and retreat ministry
- delegate responsibility to both staff and volunteers
- demonstrate crisis management experience
- articulate results of business goals and
- how they have successfully managed a complex reporting structure within a job

About Aldersgate:Aldersgate Camp and Retreat Center is an innovative camp and retreat center located on a 280-acre property at 1043 Snake Hill Road, North Scituate, Rhode Island. The site is an ideal setting approximately 1.5 hours southwest of Boston and 30 minutes due west of Providence.
The camp enjoys a strong and loyal following from many volunteers and participants who have been touched by its ministry over the years. (Aldersgate is one of four camp/retreat centers in the New England Conference of The United Methodist Church.)
A committed Board of Directors provides oversight of the operations, programs, and the establishing of policies and procedures. The work is done in a collaborative manner.
The Executive Director will continue to develop and implement the vision for ministry through Aldersgate, to expand year-round use of the site and maintain American Camp Association (ACA) accreditation.
