An experience for Local Pastors and Members of Other Denominations
April 27, 2019
9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Ridgecrest Retreat Center in Black Mountain, NC http://ridgecrestconferencecenter.org/
The “greater things” Jesus invites us to participate in are about demonstrating, illustrating, and expressing God’s love to people. These are the greater things that we are invited by Jesus to do. And they help us to thrive!
Speaker: Rev. Jorge Acevedo, Lead Pastor of Grace Church, a multi-site, United Methodist congregation in Southwest Florida. Jorge has a heart for local pastors and has nurtured the call of members of his congregation to respond and become a local pastor. Patti Nemazie, a local pastor and the Grace Church, Sarasota Campus Pastor will accompany Jorge. She is in the Course of Study at Duke (so some people may know her) and will share in leadership.
Jorge is the author of the book that we’ve been using in the mentoring program this year: Vital: Churches Changing Communities and the World.
- Deadline for registration is Friday, April 5, 2019.
- Jorge will be available to autograph your book if you bring it with you.
- This event is mandatory for clergy in the LP/OF mentoring program.
Optional Retreat Experience
April 26-28, 2019
You can choose to stay one or both nights at a significantly reduced rate thanks to a Duke Endowment grant.
