Advanced Lay Servant Training

The Catawba Valley District will offer this 4-week Advanced Lay Servant Training course held via Zoom. 

The course will be based on the book "From Your Heart to Theirs: Delivering an Effective Sermon," by David Carroll and Tony Franks.

Students need to order their own book before the course begins.

The required book is available from www.Amazon.com and www.Christianbook.com. 

This is an online course, to be offered on Zoom. You will receive a link to the Zoom course before the first class date.

The sessions will be held on four Sunday afternoons in October, from 2:00 - 4:30 PM:

October 8, 15, 22, and 29

Attendance is required at all four sessions to qualify for a course certificate. No exceptions will be made.

This course will be offered at no cost.

This course qualifies as an Advanced Lay Servant course. Attendance will be required all four Sundays in order to complete the hours needed for certification. No exceptions can be made. 

The Basic Lay Servant course is a prerequisite for this course.
