Duke Divinity School is sponsoring a conference to practically equip religious leaders and places of worship in the ministry of providing sanctuary to immigrants and vulnerable populations. The "Loving Our Neighbor: Embodying Sanctuary" conference will have plenary sessions along with break-out groups addressing how sanctuary is grounded in faith convictions, the history of the Sanctuary Movement, implementation for today, and potential legal implications in the state of North Carolina. By the end of this conference, participants will have the opportunity to create concrete action plans and network with others.
