“From Hostility to Hospitality: Immigration and People of Faith” The NC Council of Churches is continuing its successful statewide clergy series on immigration. These events are geared toward busy religious professionals and faith leaders, and they provide an overview of immigration issues in the context of a great networking event (and free meal). This series revolves around sharing a meal together and hearing from knowledgeable people who are directly affected by immigration issues in their ministries. It’s a forum for honest questions and positive conversation among local colleagues, and everyone will walk away with additional resources and contacts. “From Hostility to Hospitality: Immigration and People of Faith” will take place on Thursday, April 14 at West Bend United Methodist Church (1080 Albemarle Road, Asheboro) from 9am-10:30am. At this event you will learn about farmworkers and immigrants in your own community and how you can advocate for them. Everyone from the community who would like to learn more about farmworkers and immigrants is invited to attend. Please RSVP here. DOWNLOAD FLYER
