Making Sense Of Grief And Loss In Parish Relationships
This series is for those pastors and caregivers who want to be more knowledgeable in developing skills related to grief and loss in their congregation. The study will provide scriptural, person-centered and psychological tools for transforming grief toward spiritual wholeness both in the individual and congregation. Cases will be provided to help assess direct care and response as well as tools to integrate loss experiences in the life of a church.
Our resource reading is All Our Losses, All Our Griefs: Resources for Pastoral Care by Kenneth Mitchell and Herbert Anderson. Case presentation will include time for group discussion and support in a fully confidential environment .
Presenter: Reverend Gary L. Kling, D. Min., LPC, Director / pastoral psychotherapist at Chrysalis Counseling and Consultation Center , Inc.
Cost : $40./ person , including lunch; $2 extra for chef salad.
CEU’s provided for continuing education credit. (Hours also count toward certification as Pastoral Care Specialist with AAPC )
