Are you willing to take risks for God’s Kingdom? If you answered yes, then come and learn more about Multi-Ethnic, Multi-Cultural church. Dr. Mark DeYmaz, is pastor of the Mosaic Church of Central Arkansas, a multi-ethnic and economically diverse church where men and women from more than thirty nations currently worship God together as one. DeYmaz is also co-founder of Mosaix Global Network. Five churches in the Western North Carolina Conference began a year-long coaching journey with DeYmaz last March 2014. During this event, participants will hear stories about the progress and challenges as these churches have taken to intentionally reflect on the diversity in their communities. DeYmaz will present best practices and next steps for churches with opportunities to continue the multi-ethnic conversation. "The coaching experience with Mark Deymaz has helped as our church transitions to serving our neighborhood and community. Mark gives a strong Biblical background for multi-ethnic ministries in a teachable format to share with the congregation. His approach is not "do as I have done and they will come". He provides concrete suggestions and answers. The experience was one of sharing ideas and learning from one another." ~ Sarah Kalish. pastor “The time it takes for a homogeneous congregation to grow multi-ethnic and embrace the vision and passion fully “...As DeYmaz tells us, it will take patience, persistence, and perseverance. And we will do it, because ‘If the kingdom of heaven is not segregated, why on earth is the Church?’” ~ In-Yong Lee, “The church must reflect the community in order to successfully engage the community.” Dr. Gary Royals shared this quote from Dr. DeYmaz as the summarizing message. We hope you will join us for this movement of doing church differently, through the Multi-ethnic, Multi- cultural church experience. See you at Crossroad UMC, you don't want to miss this opportunity to learn new was of reaching people for the kingdom of God in a Multi-cultural way.
