Love And Conflict: The Pastor's Response To Domestic Violence In The Community Of Faith
At some point every pastor will be called on to deal with actual domestic conflict which can have drastic effects on safety, health, and spirituality in the life of the church. Some pastors will choose to pretend this doesn't happen in their congregation but this seminar will inform and encourage a practical pastoral response to domestic issues such as separation, violence in various forms; reconciliation, repair and referral for troubled relationships. Tools for a faith-based address to domestic violence will be provided.
Those wanting maximum benefit from the seminar are encouraged to read the book assigned and be prepared to offer case examples of listening and learning in their congregations. Full confidentiality is encouraged and enforced.
