We all know emotionally unhealthy congregations, we combat emotionally unhealthy spiritualities, and we struggle with our own emotional health in ministry. Joining us this year will be Peter Scazzero, the genius behind Emotionally Healthy Spirituality. He will share with us his own story of great success, and then crashing and burning out – and finally figuring out how to have an emotionally healthy ministry, learning the practice of Sabbath, how to deal with conflict, and how to cultivate a more robust personal life.

Then we will look at what an Emotionally Healthy Church might look like. A handful of our churches have taken this on with great results. How can we lead our people to get beneath the surface, deal with issues constructively, and find healing and hope – and function more happily as a church family?

Mid-day worship at Mission to Ministers will be led by Sarah Howell & the Roots Revival Band from Centenary UMC, Winston-Salem.
This day promises to be fun, experiential, and transformative!
