ImagineHub Application Opens
June 16, 2020
By: Applications Accepted through July 31, 2020
ImagineHub is a network of centers for missional innovation for “spirit-filled collisions” of diverse people where innovation, design thinking and entrepreneurship is nurtured, cultivated and harvested. In partnership with the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church and under the guidance of our Steering Committee, we are building a learning network of missional innovation hubs in underutilized church spaces across our state. After our successful pilot launch with four sites in January 2020, this fall we are adding new sites in WNCC and a first pilot site in the North Carolina Conference.
Our vision is to empower action-oriented dreamers for missional innovation in under-utilized and reimagined church spaces, where intentional listening to God is cultivated to transform lives, congregations, and communities through collaborative ministry experiments. While the innovation hubs will benefit your congregation and other UMC churches in the district, our hope is that through being ideally situated to support your surrounding neighbors, ImagineHub will increase access to training and support programs, particularly for disadvantaged populations. We endeavor to help congregations build bridges into their neighborhoods to spark a movement of economic mobility in their communities.
To learn more, register for a virtual information session on June 30 or July 7, and we encourage you to invite other leaders from your church to attend. Applications for the Fall Cohort will be accepted on a rolling basis through July 31, and any questions can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
