Annual Conference - June 16-18, 2023
The 2023 Western North Carolina Annual Conference meeting will be held at Lake Junaluska, June 15-18. While the conference will be livestreamed for at-home viewing, registration and full participation (including voting) will ONLY happen in person.
WNC clergy who are in full connection, provisional members, associate members, and local pastors are required to attend the Western North Carolina Annual Conference meeting, June 15-18, 2023. Annual Conference will be live-streamed for at-home viewing, but registration and full participation (including voting) is only possible in person.
If you are not able to attend in person, please request an excused absence.

Clergy who are retired or are on leave of absence are automatically excused if they are not able to attend.
If you are a lay member of conference representing your local church/charge and find that you cannot attend, please pass this material to your pastor, who will give it to the alternate lay member. Member information should be updated by your pastor or church staff directly in the Church Leaders page of the Church Dashboard until June 1st.
District at-large members who can’t come should notify their district office.

To include your gathering in the Special Events List in the Program & Reports and Supplement books, please share the event details through the submission form at www.wnccumc.org/ac2023-special-events by May 10! If you haven't yet booked your special event at Lake Junaluska, do so by May 5th to have your rental fee waived! Visit the AC2023 Special Events page for more info!
Applications for Annual Conference Resource Fair displays are live! You must apply by May 1, 2023 to have a display at the 2023 Western NC Annual Conference, June 15-18. Please take note of the new addition this year – sales! Groups may sell products to support their ministry/mission efforts. The application, as well general information and display guidelines, can be found at https://www.wnccumc.org/ac2023-displays.
Lake Junaluska is now accepting requests for booking special events at Annual Conference! Please visit the AC2023 Special Events page to submit your event request, or make your arrangements offsite. After you've received confirmation that your event is booked, please visit the Special Events page again to submit your event details for inclusion in the Special Events list in the Program & Reports and P&R Supplement books!
Visit the Housing & Meals page of the AC2023 website to pre-order meals for annual conference! To reduce waste, Lake Junaluska will only make a few extra servings each mealtime, so if already know you'll want to eat in one of the dining rooms, please order your custom meal plan by May 26th! Persons or groups wishing to submit a petition or resolution to the Western North Carolina Annual Conference in June must do so by the April 1 deadline. The WNCC Petitions Committee will meet in April to review the petitions and prepare them for print.
