Annual Conference took place at Lake Junaluska, NC from June 16-19, 2022. Below are all the Annual Conference 2022 livestreamed worship services and business sessions.

**The Thursday Clergy Session was a closed session and therefore was not recorded.

Friday, June 17:

 

Opening Worship with Guest Preacher Rev. Dr. Edgardo Colón-Emeric

Rev. Dr. Edgardo Colón-Emeric, Dean of Duke Divinity School, preaching. The Offering collected was split evenly between the Stuart Auditorium Restoration and the Both/And funding for small, rural, and churches of color.

 

 

Conference Plenary Business Session 

Itinerary of the business session included Procedural Matters, Elections for Conference, Consent Calendar, Committee on Nominations, Plan of Organization and Rules of Order, Historic Wesley Questions for Ordinands, Committee on the Episcopacy, and the Future of The UMC. 

 

 

Recognition of Retiring Clergy Worship Service

Worship service recognized 60 retiring clergy from the Western NC Conference.

 

 

Saturday, June 18:

 

Conference Plenary Business Session Part 1 (Saturday at 8:30am)

Itinerary included The Annual Meeting of the Membership of the United Methodist Foundation, Conference Council on Finance and Administration, the 2023 Conference Budget, Conference Board of Pension and Health Benefits, and Commission on Equitable Compensation.

 

 

Celebration of Life Service with Guest Preacher Rev. Dawn Hand

Rev. Dawn Hand, WNC clergy and DS in the Baltimore-Washington Conference, preaching. 

 

 

Conference Plenary Business Session Part 2 (Saturday at 2pm)

Itinerary included the presentation of the Francis Asbury Award, Cabinet Resolutions, and Disaffiliation Resolutions, and petitions.

 

 

Conference Plenary Business Session Part 3 (Saturday at 4pm)

Itinerary included a Both/And presentation, presentation of the Denman Award, and petitions.

Juneteenth Gospel Celebration

Following the adjournment of the 2022 Annual Conference, the 2nd Annual Juneteenth Gospel Celebration took place on Lake Junaluska's campus.
